Scheduling

Schedule breaks between meetings so candidates have time to use the restroom, grab water, etc.
Create separate invites for interviewers and candidates. Make sure the Zoom link is the same for both meetings! Sending confirmation emails via Greenhouse will help ensure this.
Have one zoom link for the entirety of a candidate’s interview. Be sure to double check how many meetings you can run at once under one Zoom account.
Candidate Experience
3
Make sure the candidate has all the information they need for their interviews. The who, what, where, when, why, and how. An onsite interview guide is a great way to communicate this information!
Schedule in 30 minute ‘virtual coffee’ chats for interview panels, it serves as an informal way for the candidate to learn more about your company.
Encourage interviewers to be extra friendly as this is via Zoom. Make eye contact, smile, leave your camera and microphone on.
Internal Experience

Send the necessary information to interviewers.
Interviewer calendar invites that state the candidate name, role, interview focus area, interview kit/scorecard, zoom link, etc.
Create a private slack channel for the interview team to communicate on the day of to ensure seamless transitions between interviewers and candidate.
Make sure interviewers are prepared to troubleshoot simple Zoom issues.
Have a ‘Best Practices’ guide for interviewers, so they are better prepared and supported for interviews.
Include more in depth instructions on rescheduling, calendar hygiene, submitting scorecards, etc.
