Set up Groupings
The main step in getting started with this method is deciding on how you want to group your tasks.
Tip: Less is More. Having too many groupings can be counterproductive. Below are the three main groupings I stick by:
(1) Priority Category
Adjust the priority selection below based on your preferences I personally like to add “ongoing” and “someday” to then be able to filter those out if my day is getting too busy Pro-Trip: Want to sort by Priority? Add a “Sort Order” column (2) By Area Category
Focus on tasks specific to the Areas that matter to you the most.

I like to sort out my tasks into a few different areas:
Follow up - these are tasks that would only take 5 mins of my time and I can knock off in my todo list quickly In Progress - so I can keep track of ones I have started already Waiting or Delegated - tasks that are not driven by me, but I would like to still track it’s progress. Tasks
I like to estimate how long each task would be by day or week, and then prioritize or move around tasks from there.
