SAVVI Playbook

IG Framework
We have completed the definition of the SAVVI Information Governance Framework, and in particular, the templates of key documents and decisions that a SAVVI project will produce to ensure that data is reused Legally, Ethically, and Transparently. The framework and templates are now being used by our projects which is generating reusable documents that others can use as the basis of their own projects.
SAVVI Catalogue
We have completed the specification of the ‘SAVVI Catalogue’ which is to be a web resource where documents can be found, which capture how organisations have already tackled a particular vulnerability. These are the standard documents that are output from the IG Framework templates. We are now asking for expressions of interest to deliver the Catalogue.

SAVVI Projects

SAVVI Rural and Island Child Poverty Project
Andrew Humphreys (SAVVI Coach) and Nailah Ukaidi (SAVVI IG) continued to support Scottish Local Authorities to develop data flow maps and a data ethics assessment for the SAVVI approach to Rural Child Poverty and delivered workshops on 7th & 15th November, which were the last two in the second of three timeboxes.
Wigan Civil Contingencies Project
Andrew Humphries drafted the case study for this project, detailing Wigan Council’s adoption of SAVVI methodology for bringing data together to find potentially vulnerable people and households in the event of a flood. In December, the SAVVI team will review the case study internally before the final part (Executive Summary) is written and shared for external review with Wigan Council. We anticipate that the case study will be published in December or early in the new year.

CDDO Cross Government Vulnerability Working Group Meeting

Nicholas Oughtibridge, Lead Architect, NHS Digital, has agreed to lead the ‘Modelling’ subgroup within the Cross-government working group on vulnerability. Paul Davidson and Shelley Heckman from SAVVI met with Nicholas on 28 November to discuss this role and talk through SAVVI’s concept model.
