Make a Data Reuse Proposition

A Data Reuse Proposition sets out

the data to be reused

the Purpose that the data was originally collected for

a New Purpose for the data

evidence to demonstrate that the data is necessary to achieve the new Purpose

a lawful basis to reuse the data for the new Purpose.

The proposition should only contain information that would be useful to others who want to repeat the same approach, and should avoid local implementation details.

This Proposition can then inform a ‘Data Ask’ which is put to a specific organisation as the first step to request access to their data.
