Sharing the basic MsExcel tools that are useful to a teacher/ lecturer including:
Vlookup:
VLOOKUP is a built-in MsExcel function that helps you look for a specified value by searching for it vertically across the sheet.
VLOOKUP in MsExcel may sound complicated, but you will find out that it is a very easy and useful tool once you try it.
Very useful for managing the student mark and grade
Pivot Tables
Pivot tables are one of MsExcel's most powerful features.
A pivot table allows you to extract the significance from a large, detailed data set.
Very useful for managing and analysing the the student’s data.
Mail Merges
Mail Merges in MsWord are a great way to create costumised letters, certificates, and labels based on the data tabulated in a linked MsExcel.
Very useful for providing a standard format document i.e letter, instruction and feedback that is repeatively produced but there are certain individualised/costumised parts of the letters.
