In this project, we successfully implemented and tested two key use cases as part of the Rippey Logistics (RPL) Hackathon 2024. Through Use Case 1, we developed an efficient and automated email quoting workflow that streamlined the handling of Full Container Load (FCL) requests, from extracting key details to generating and delivering accurate quotes. Use Case 4 allowed us to push the boundaries of our data extraction capabilities by integrating both Claude AI and templatization techniques, creating a flexible solution that adapts to complex document formats.
Despite challenges such as the Claude AI outage, we adapted quickly ensuring that our processes remained uninterrupted and effective. The insights gained from this experience highlight the importance of having robust fallback mechanisms and the need for careful consideration of cost efficiency when combining advanced technologies.
Moving forward, the work done here not only meets the immediate goals of the hackathon but also sets the foundation for future enhancements in our products. By refining these processes and addressing the challenges identified, we can continue to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our solutions, ultimately delivering greater value to our clients.
