Manual Advice/Recommendation Upload

In addition to using the individual rebalance, bulk rebalance, and no change review features in Portfolio Cloud, you can also manually upload recommendations and trades into your projects.
You can upload recommendations into both standard and review projects. For more information on the different types of advice workflows available in each project, please refer to the Advice Workflows section of the user guide.
Manual recommendation uploads are useful when the rebalancing or trade generation is done outside of the Portfolio Cloud system. Common examples include IPOs, new unlisted investments, or corporate actions such as dividend reinvestment.
To manually upload recommendations, you will need to create a CSV file that contains the following information for each client in the set:
IsReview (FALSE for Standard Projects, TRUE for Review/NoChange Projects
IsBrokerage (Always FALSE)
ExternalVariables (Number of ExternalVariables included in row. 0 if none)
Client Number/ID
Provider (Broker or Trade Destination e.g. Open Markets, Salesforce. Must be provided for each trade)
Investment Code/Ticker
Units
ExternalID (SubAccountNumber e.g. Open Markets account number)
ExternalName (SubAccountName - only for use in advice documents. Leave blank if non required)
ExternalVariables: Any client-specific number or text that you need to incorporate into the advice document.
*Indented section optionally repeats for each trade
Once you have created the CSV file, you can upload it into your project in Portfolio Cloud. The system will then process the information and update the recommendations and trades accordingly.
