Tabling

Tabling is one of the best ways to spread news about IJM and/or your chapter to students on campus. It can help you reach out to students who might not hear about IJM through the grapevine or through social media.

Prepping Your Team to Table

Make sure your team knows what to say: what IJM is and how to get involved with the club.
Be fun and easily approachable! Hearing about human trafficking for the first or the fifteenth time is always heavy and weighty. While we want people to understand the severity of the issue, we don’t want people to leave feeling defeated.

Setting Up Your Table

Contact your university’s event staff to reserve chairs, tables and any other supplies needed. Check what permissions you need to table in certain areas.
Determine what you will have on your table, some ideas could include:
Recruiting flyer
and brochures
Digital form or paper sign-up sheet for students who want to join or learn more
Display your club’s contact information (social media, email, etc.)
Have your IJM Campus Chapter banner set up right next to your table.
