Photography plays a pivotal role in communicating about IJM’s work.
While IJM images may show the reality of violence, they do so in a way that respects the dignity of those whose images we share. IJM photography is not exploitive, does not sensationalize, and does not reduce survivors’ identities to the violence they have experienced.
We prioritize the safety and security of the people we serve, IJM staff, IJM partners and government officials when sharing images.
