About Us

The Compassion Alumni Movement in Negros was birthed after a general partnership meeting with Negros alumni and Project Directors in 2017. The pioneering members initially planned and proposed a leadership curriculum to all Negros 1 youth. Due to the immense scope of trainings and conflict of schedules, CAM re-assessed the implementation and decided to conduct leadership trainings to selected young people using the 12 Leadership Principles of Compassion International. This was then convened with Negros 1 project facilitator and project directors. This became the first ministry of Compassion Alumni Movement – the Leadership Movement or commonly known as CALM.
Compassion Alumni Leadership Movement/CALM equips Negros 1 Youth to be effective, godly servant-leaders, fostering excellence in church, family, community, and nation. Objectives include providing leadership training and support to Compassion, raising awareness, and efficiently training Compassion youth.
Compassion Alumni Movement/CASM is a movement organized by and for the graduates of Compassion to collectively sponsor children in poverty through the sponsorship program of Compassion International.
