On-time, not super impressed by look or demeanor. Remodeling club downtown. Nice people, but not struck by them. Didn’t have answers to questions asked, and didn’t ask him questions.

Their favorite. Referral by Chris Clifton. Smart and put together. “Listen, I work with a lot of trades people that are great at their trade but don’t know to live their lives. I teach them how to be responsible.”

Quite liked him. He was the best salesman, was really nice. Joked that he said he was a local baseball hero. “I have two projects around the corner if you want to check them out.”

Liked him a lot. He made an effort, was wearing nicer pants and collared shirt. Forgot his meter on front porch (either his or plumbers). Plumber showed up late. Only black person that showed up. As a person, liked him. Got along with dog.

Relaxed, older guy. Of all of them, he’s online one at the end that said “I really like your home.” He was really nice and caring, which made them feel good. He seemed genuine. He raised points that no one had ー asked to look at breaker to confirm there’s room for extra breakers. He asked where the HVAC systems were. Noticed cracks that might be foundation issues.

Christian’s fault for not answering. But was rude to Chris and Tee.

Says he’s careful about choosing his crew and says he always a foreman on site. (Resonates with Chris and Tee). Demeanor and weight makes him come off sleazy, but they liked what he had to say. He was forthcoming about countertops. Tee didn’t like Larry

Sonny was fine. Wasn’t dressed well. Showed in construction garb. Didn’t have a pitch, didn’t ask many questions. Weren’t to impressed with him.

Rick and Rubin from Infinity Contractors showed up instead. They were knowledgeable about permits but were just OK. Almost everyone’s been late. Ran tight ship professionally, but didn’t like them personally. Took two phone calls while there (but that’s not great). Ask good questions. Seemed legit.

Reviewed the drawings and referenced them in his estimate. Included detailed labor and materials. Good estimate.

Expensive, but gave a really good well-organized estimate with multiple options and links to the material. Includes a line item for unexpected expenses.
Liked him a lot. He made an effort, was wearing nicer pants and collared shirt. Forgot his meter on front porch (either his or plumbers). Plumber showed up late. Only black person that showed up. As a person, liked him. Got along with dog.

His bid left a lot to be desired. There just isn’t any detail about the actual work to be completed. He provided high-level categories, but didn’t revisit the project scope. Only one to mention permitting.

Detailed, but not logically organized. Seems expensive.

He raised points that no one had ー asked to look at breaker to confirm there’s room for extra breakers. He asked where the HVAC systems were. Noticed cracks that might be foundation issues.

Has a good amount of detail in terms of breaking down line items, even though the information is not organized in a super easy-to-follow structure.
On-time, not super impressed by look or demeanor. Remodeling club downtown. Nice people, but not struck by them. Didn’t have answers to questions asked, and didn’t ask him questions.

“V&L: I don’t know if I believe that 27k number”
“Pink Cube is #1 because we like him. Low cost, but he’s not the lowest, so I trust that bid more. Clear, easy to read, organized layout.”
“Target Remodeling: didn’t like his layout”
“Sunrise was word document. Not great”
“AJ Moving - seemed realistic, was open. Seems to deliver on his promises.”

Did pink cube include cost of both baths.

Confirmation

This is a confirmation for your on-site at
2107 Kenwood Ave, Austin, TX 78704
on
Tuesday, July 7 at 11:30 AM.
My name is Christian Rodriguez. The customer has hired me to help them find and verify a reputable contractor, and answer questions they don’t feel comfortable asking you directly. I am not a GC and you will not be my subcontractor ー if the customer chooses you for the project you will be working with them directly.
The customer is
Christopher Sibley
and you can reach them at (432) 386-3988 when you arrive to the property.
I’ve put together a project overview for you to review in advance of your on-site visit. Following your on-site you’ll put together your estimate and send it to me. I’ll review it, ask questions if I have any, then deliver it to the customer for review.
It’s worth mentioning that the customer has hired me for their and your protection. Any vendor trying to go around me will be disqualified from this and all future trades.org projects. You should look at this as a free lead you get to bid on!
Please let me know if you need to change the appointment, are running late, or have any questions. Thanks!

Bid Request

Hi

We'd like to review estimates this Wednesday. Are you able to get me your estimate to me by end of day Tuesday? If not, please let me know so I can work with them accordingly.
And let me know if you have any outstanding questions you’d like to see answered.
