New image carousel for venue/vendor types

Rules
Never show for Grid view
Disappear on scroll, all options carried here should be duplicative with “More filters”
Leftmost category in carousel should be venue category with the most results, ranked from there
Why?
There’s two ways to approach this ranking: 1 by number of results in each category, 2 by number of selections of this category. 1 would almost always have the ranking of something like Event space then Restaurant then... hotel, then Outdoor space then bar/club? While 2 would likely place Outdoor space higher. Event space isn’t so helpful to users... I think I should reconsider what I have here and rank by user interest/helpfulness which would be: Outdoor space, Restaurant, Hotel, Bar/Club, Event space, then I feel less strongly. These should still be conditioned so if I know we have no outdoor spaces in Sacramento I don’t show that category filter.
If we take approach 2, is that ordering at all influenced by number of results that filter leaves?
Perhaps the rules are:
A constant ordering of filters, this won’t include every venue type
Don’t show a filter if it would show 0 results
If we would show <6 filter options don’t show the carousel
Show max of 8 categories in carousel
Why this? What categories do we possibly include?
After last image preview, offer + as an image preview which leads to More Filters popup with Venue types list of checkboxes expanded
Only show carousel if at least 4 image previews
I think this is more likely 6
Only show image previews if at least 5 results within the given filters
Why 5? Should definitely be lower and incorporated into the decision is like, if we have a small set of options already then the carousel should disappear.
How about we need 6 categories with at least 3 results to show the carousel? Each category generally shows if >3 results? I don’t see why we should include a category if >1 result? We probably should to avoid falsely signaling.
The given background filters should not include venue filters, as this would mean someone could filter themselves out of seeing the filters.
Within “More Filters,” venue types should be listed alphabetically (should be a zig zag rather than two lists straight down) and should show 6 or 8 (decide and roll with it) then offer “view more” to expand list. When list is expanded offer “view fewer” to collapse
Eventually show “Private dining” and include in schema “space type = outdoor,” but for now build only show venue categories
Same rules with vendor categories for vendors
How does the number of carousel items shown before scroll change with screen size?

Venue filters

Always show location filter as the same width, even when neighborhood filter isn’t available.
Capacity:
Tags should read:
Should not distinguish room arrangements, should only offer min and max

Noteworthy will not be included for V1.
More filters elevation will include (in order top-to-bottom):
Venue type
List alphabetically left-to-right then top-to-bottom
Show 8 then offer View more/View fewer
Outdoor space checkbox
If selected the following filters should be applied (so any venue satisfying at least one filter should be shown as a result):
Venue type = outdoor space
Space feature = outdoor
Space outdoor ENUM = Indoor/Outdoor, Full Outdoor with Cover, Full outdoor without cover

Vendor filters
