Summary 🌔

We are looking for a senior full stack engineer to produce scalable software solutions. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
You should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.

About MetaPals = Web3 + Gaming + Tamogotchi 🐱

MetaPals are desktop companions that eat, sleep, and play. Through the utility of NFT’s, the developing GameFi business model, and the simplicity of a browser extension, we’re creating digital life that fosters a genuine sense of virtual companionship. All of this is packaged in a small digital pet that lives on your screen, that you will grow to love.
Metapals is much more than a browser extension. It is the first step to bringing life to the Metaverse. The Meta could easily be a very stale, boring, and dull place that is used for advertisements, work, and novel gimmicks. But it can be so much more, if we add compassion. I can't think of a better place to bring life to the meta than with mans best friend, a dog, or pet for that matter. Metapals gives a peek into how we can begin to live a life that is half reality, half in the meta. We then will slowly merge these two, to allow a truly immersive experience that makes a Metapal your companion to the metaverse.
Based in Singapore, we are a remote-friendly company with the possibility to work both off and on location.

What we’ll accomplish together 🙌

Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
Educating sales personnel on blockchain features that allow secure digital payments
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
Write effective APIs
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security and data protection settings
Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
Meeting both technical and consumer needs
Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages

A little about you 🦊

Has mentored junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and DevOps trade-offs.
Understand emerging web and mobile development models.
Responsible for designing, testing, and implementing new and updated software programs.
Experienced with all ancillary technologies necessary for Internet applications: HTTP, TCP/IP, POP/SMTP, etc.
Working knowledge of object-oriented design and development skills.
Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.
Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, and PHP (Laravel).
Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, and MongoDB.
Familiarity with TDD.
Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud.
Good understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST and API design for extensibility and portability.
Experience debugging distributed systems with high data loads.
Experience writing SQL queries for SQL Server or another Relational Database is required.
Strong communication, organisational and analytical skills.
Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software.
At least 2-3 years in the industry with experience working in fast pace and agile teams.
Top 3 skills: Python Django, PHP; Frontend: HTML, CSS, React JS, Vue JS (nice to have); comfortable using Terminal.

Position: Full-time
Location: Hybrid (Prefer to hire someone who lives in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi), because we have the possibility to have an office in Jakarta for hybrid work in the future)
