Battery Script

Hi, is this _____? (response) It’s _____ here from Modern Earth Energy. I received your inquiry about a solar battery for your property in SUBURB. (response)
(Yes, thanks)

Great. So what we do, is help our clients get a battery installed for no deposit upfront, using the government incentives available meaning you can get a battery installed with no money down initially.
(If prospect interrupts saying they want to pay cash, that’s fine as well. No need to ask if they are working in the qualifications below)

We do get a lot of enquiries including from our existing clients who want to take that next logical step with their solar to help bring the bills down even further, if not to zero, and get a battery!
Could we start by chatting about what you’re looking for in a battery? Are you just wanting to reduce your bills down to zero? Are you having blackouts or anything like that?

You can discuss here with the prospect about how they might be wanting to add on more premium features and energy independence, how they are making the right decision by moving on to the next step of getting a battery to support their solar system, how the tariffs are going down steadily and energy prices rising. Make notes accordingly based on your discussion.

Okay great. Thank you for sharing that.

So just to let you know, there are two steps to the process with us: the first step is just a quick chat with me to see what questions I can answer. The second step is getting you booked for a phone consultation with one of our solar & battery specialists.
We normally get a copy of your electricity bill & photo of your switchboard for them, so they can analyse and see how a battery can benefit you and what sizing might be suitable, talk to you about the pricing options, and answer any other technical questions you might have.
So may I ask you a few questions about your current energy set up and your specific needs?

Do you currently have solar installed? If so, what size is your system? (Or how many panels)
How old is your system?
What is your average monthly/quarterly electricity usage?
Are there any specific features you are looking for in a solar battery, such as sizing, brand preference?

And a few extra questions, do you have a pool or spa?
Are you operating heavy machinery, any life support systems in the home? Anything out of the ordinary?
Planning to add any extra appliances or upgrades to the home?

And in terms of the eligibility for the government incentives, are you or your partner working at the moment? If not, is there any source of income?

We normally have our consultations with both homeowners present - as it can be a lot of information and we find that often lots of questions are asked from both parties. What’s your partners name? I’ll pop it down for the specialist.

(Get name of partner if you haven’t already)

Perfect. And when will suit you and ________ for the phone consultation?

Great so I’ve booked you for ______ with CONSULTANT NAME. What we are going to need in the interim, is a copy of your electricity bill & a photo of your switchboard. These are very important, because in order to assess what battery needs you have, we need to see what your existing solar system is doing, and the best way to do that is on your bill.

I’ll send you an email so you can just reply to me there, can I confirm your email is ________________

I do also want to let you know that there is no obligation, so if you and PARTNER do not want to proceed, that is totally fine, we can just part ways – however, if you’re happy and want to get started then, by all means, we can get it all moving for you.
So in terms of getting the battery setup, if all the numbers work out financially for you, is it something you’re wanting to move forward with straight away?
Perfect. I have you booked in at _______ with CONSULTANT NAME. I’ll give you a call that morning just to confirm, but otherwise you’re all set for your appointment.
Thanks, and have a great day!
