Esercitazione Day 9 EN

Exercise Title: "A/B Testing and Conversion Optimization Workshop"

Objective:
The aim of this exercise is to give students a hands-on understanding of the principles of A/B testing and how it can be used to optimize conversions. They will plan and analyze a hypothetical A/B test.
Duration: 2 hours
Materials Needed:
Internet-connected computers or laptops
Presentation slides
Worksheets for planning an A/B test
Procedure:
Introduction to A/B Testing (30 minutes)
Begin with a presentation on the principles of A/B testing. Explain why it is important, where it can be used (websites, emails, ads), and how it helps in conversion optimization. Show real-world examples of successful A/B tests.
Techniques for Optimising Conversions (30 minutes)
Discuss techniques for optimizing conversions, such as improving website design, making the call-to-action clear, simplifying the checkout process, etc. Use real-world examples to illustrate these techniques.
Planning an A/B Test (30 minutes)
Give students a scenario where they have to increase conversions for a hypothetical startup (e.g., increasing sign-ups for a newsletter, increasing sales of a product, etc.). Provide worksheets to help them plan an A/B test. They should specify the hypothesis, the elements to test (e.g., headline, image, call-to-action), how they will measure success, etc.
Analysis of an A/B Test (30 minutes)
Provide students with a hypothetical dataset showing the results of their planned A/B test. Guide them in analyzing the data to determine which version (A or B) performed better and why. Discuss how they would implement the successful version and what next steps they would take to continue optimizing conversions.
Outcomes:
Students will gain a clear understanding of A/B testing and why it's essential for conversion optimization.
They will learn to plan an A/B test and analyze the results.
They will understand how to apply the principles of A/B testing and conversion optimization in a real-world context.
