We use a lot of different apps/tools here at Netflix. Some are externally-owned tools but many have been designed by our incredible teams and engineers. There will be time to learn about all the apps you will use later on in your onboarding but for now, we’re focusing on just the Marcomms connected tools.

There are myriad different technologies and tooling that support our studio, but for now lets focus on those that we are admins of or utilize the most. We will split these up between full fledged apps and our Airtable base that we use to build most of our supporting workflows. We’ll focus on apps for now and dive deeper into our airtable base in the coming weeks.
Below are links to learning materials for our most used apps. Peruse the materials and keep them bookmarked for future needs but we will also set you up with 1:1 training with our Product Success trainer Matt See.
- The Planning and Ordering Portal. This is where Marketing and PAVS plan all of the assets needed for a campaign and it allows other teams and countries to order localized versions for their own use.
- CCM is a management and ordering tool for any given AV asset. It allows us to order, QC and master deliverables for our supported regions globally with the ability to pick and choose the exact specs you want per asset.
- Our original DAM, it is a folder based system with some reliability and performance issue. We are admins of this tool as well and we will explain the difference between PAL and VanDAM.
- Clips allows users to pull high-res clips from all of our content so they can create Trailers, Clips, and other assets. There is also some powerful AI included.
If you ever experience an issue with one of our applications you can submit a support ticket either in-app (we will show you) or on Slack at #
