Historically, teams worked across disparate applications, Airtables, and Google Sheets, and these applications differed by team and region. We were essentially marketing the world’s largest studio out of a series of spreadsheets & folders! Ouch...
In 2023, we decided it was time to do something about this, move users out of spreadsheets, and into the same unified and connected, end to end, ecosystem. The official global rollout happened in July 2023. As you can see it is still very new. Engineering and Product teams are constantly iterating to make the ecosystem run smoother, and users are still getting comfortable with the new workflows.
The connected ecosystem aims to connect jobs to be done and the apps in which folks do those jobs. Starting all the way upstream with prioritising our biggest and best titles, through to planning what those campaigns will look like, planning assets, producing and localising assets, storing those assets, distributing them to our marketing end points, and tracking their success.

Earlier this year, our Content & Business Product Success team walked us through a “Connected Ecosystem” training session. Please watch the 2 part video linked out below. I know these types of videos are not always the best, but I am hoping it will be a good primer before we plan your own sessions with Matt See.
