Spawn District Claims

For claims or builds made in Spawn District defined on live map.

🚩 How to Find and Claim a Spot

There are a few ways find a potential open spot in spawn.
Find an area with a “Plot Available” sign. You can claim immediately by building there without opening a Build Request ticket. If you need to reserve a spot before building, please open a Build Request ticket.
An open space without signs or builds may be available. Open a Build Request ticket to see if the spot you want is available to claim before building there.
Claiming a build or plot claim that is believed to be abandoned. You can open a Build Request ticket to see if you can reclaim that spot, but these claims may take a while to process.

⛔ Restrictions

Cannot build for personal use (such as a base, home, storage, etc.) as of 1.21 update.
Cannot make standalone floating builds.
Farms, breeders, and villager trading halls are prohibited.
The Minigame and Carnival area located SW of Spawn are restricted to minigames or carnival type builds.

🏪 Regarding Shops

You are allowed to build any kind of shop as we encourage friendly competition this season. However, we ask that you do not play in a manner that will ruin everyone else’s game play experience. Staff may intervene when an open market becomes unfriendly.
To advertise your shop after opening, it is highly recommended that you create a post in channel.

🏡 Building Standards

Use your best judgement when building and designing in Spawn District.

If your build conflicts with the surrounding area, you may be asked to modify it.
If your building or plot has a large gap underneath, it should be covered to look neat and natural.
Your builds should adapt to existing terrain when possible to avoid significant terraforming.
Only claim the amount of land needed, and leave some space between other builds and the roads.

🏚️ Abandoned Builds/Claims

Unused Plot Claims

Once you claim a plot in spawn, we ask that you start building as soon as possible. After 2 weeks, if another player is interested in your plot that remains unused, your claim may be forfeited.

Builds in Spawn may be subject to abandonment if one of the conditions are met below.

Incomplete builds that have not made any progress for a long time.
Shops that are mostly not stocked or or not maintained for a long time by the owner or another player.
Builds (other than shops or community builds) that have been underutilized or deemed no longer in use.
When leaving Discord without notifying staff of returning (applies to all builds in this server).
If your builds are subject to abandonment, an admin will contact you regarding that build or claim for a resolution before taking any action.
After attempting to contact without a resolution or response, build(s) will be either be reclaimed by another player or be cleared out for other players to claim.

What if I need a take a long break but don’t want my build(s) to be abandoned?

Please notify an admin or open an admin ticket for assistance. If you plan to leave our Discord and come back later, it is important that you notify us before leaving.

Land and Structure Claims

For claims or builds made outside of Spawn District

🚩 How to Claim

1) Find an open spot (). Land claims on this server are based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
You will only need to open a admin ticket to claim when you are:
Claiming more than one Witch Huts or more than one medium to large Mooshroom Islands.
Digging a significant amount of land such as perimeters.
Reclaiming an area that someone has already built or previously claimed.
See restrictions , if you plan to build in a certain area.
If you have any questions about a land claim, you can ask in the channel on Discord.
2) Once you find a good spot, start building or marking your boundaries with signs, blocks, or other objects in the surrounding area to officially claim land on the server.
Be sure to follow by not building close to another player’s base without express permission.
3) After claiming land, it is recommended to post in channel on Discord to let others know.
Important: Your land claims are only valid when you build or mark your claim in-game.
You cannot make a land claim by just posting on Discord.

🗺️ Finding an Open Spot

Look around to see if there are any builds or markings around where you want to claim. If there is not one in sight, there is very good chance that it is an open spot.
One useful tool to find an open space is to utilize Pl3xMap’s Inhabited map feature (shown below) which shows player traffic hotspots (in red, orange, yellow, or green) indicating that there is likely a base or a build there. An area that is completely faded blue is likely an open spot for you to claim.
If you are not sure that an area you want to claim is open, feel free to ask in channel on Discord.

⛔ Restrictions

No claims within 272 blocks of -2030, -715 due to close proximity of the mob switch activating.
If building in Halloween Town or Winter Wonderland, your build must fit the theme.
The Minigame and Carnival area located SW of Spawn are restricted to minigames or carnival type builds.

🏚️ Abandoned Bases/Claims

In certain cases where other players are interested in that area or if it is relatively close to spawn district, builds or claims meeting one of the conditions below may subject to abandonment:
Claims that are left unused or empty after 3 weeks.
Unfinished builds or very “low effort” builds left unused for a long time.
If a certain limited generated structure that is no longer available is left unused for a long time.
When leaving Discord without notifying staff of returning (applies to all builds in this server).

Lag Management

Be considerate of other players when using anything that can be resource intensive especially during busy times. In accordance to 4️⃣, staff reserves the right to take any actions (including killing entities, stopping machines, or disconnecting them from the server) if a player is believed to be causing negative game play experience for others.
Following these tips below will help keep the server running as efficiently as possible.

📚 Villager Trading Halls

If you want to build your own villager trading hall, please build in an area that will not be constantly loaded, preferably away from your base of at least 12 chunks (or 192 blocks).
Keeping villagers in a 1x1 enclosed space significantly cuts down on lag impact from villagers through Lithium and villager lobotomization via ServerCore.
Please do not leave villager breeders running unless you are actively utilizing them. Staff reserves the right to remove excess villagers if deemed necessary to reduce lag.

🏭 Farms, Dupers, and Redstone Machines

Leaving any duper(s) running unattended or while AFK is prohibited.
Be mindful of your farm and duper collection systems as an overflow of entities can cause massive amounts of lag. Having a proper and working disposal system for excess items will prevent such lag.
Avoid cramming entities in a small area that result in collisions (common in chickens, cows, and sheeps) which can cause lag spikes.
If possible, redstone machines should be built efficiently or use efficient designs to reduce unnecessary lag.

Active Player Requirement

In order to remain whitelisted in our Minecraft server and access whitelisted Discord channels, we require players to either be active or play enough to gain pro player status.

✅ What qualifies as an active player?

Simply play in our server, or participate in community projects or events.
You can satisfy this requirement when actively playing once a month, or by accumulating a long enough active playtime (the longer you play, the longer you are considered active).
Logging in and out after a short period of time does not count towards being recently active.

🏁 What is a “pro player” and how to gain it?

Players who are very active or established in the community can remain whitelisted for the rest of the season. The most common way is to accumulate at least 100 hours of active playtime (not including AFK).
Once you reach the pro player status, you will get an orange “S3 Pro” role on Discord to be recognized for the season.
Keep in mind that your build(s) in Spawn District can still be subject to abandonment if you are away for a very long time or are no longer active.

🙋 Buddy Exception - If you have a friend who active or is a pro/established player

As long as one of your friend(s) that you personally know is currently active or is a pro/established player, you can remain whitelisted with them as long as the qualified player does not leave our Discord server.
If you were invited by a friend, it is important to note this in your whitelist application we can apply this exception.
If in an unusual case that this exception is no longer met, you or any other friend of yours must either remain active or become an pro player to remain whitelisted.

🚫 Failure to meet the Active Player Requirement

We may consider you no longer active and will revoke your whitelist to our server when:
You have not logged in and actively played on the server once within a month after being whitelisted
You have not logged in to our server after long period of time (relative to active playtime since you last logged on)
AND
You do not qualify under the buddy exception to remain whitelisted
Or have not gained “pro player” status that allows you to remain whitelisted
However, you can still rejoin the server at anytime by filling out a form in the channel when you are ready to play again.
