Once you've created your resource group and decided your goals, it's time to make some decisions around meetings, communication, and culture. Being intentional with these topics as you kick off your group will help create an inclusive and empowering space.
These points paraphrased from can be helpful to keep in mind:
Look into what others in your industry are doing (like us!) or what has worked well in different contexts. Try referencing pre-existing guides so you don’t re-invent the wheel.
Create an agenda, trying a mix of educational, informative, and social content. Consider bringing in outside guests speakers to present relevant topics, or leaving time at the beginning of each meeting for casual catch-ups and introductions to new members.
Keeping it going is the hardest part. Try looking for “quick wins” to keep momentum and maintain enthusiasm for your group, building in mini-goals for each meeting.
