How often will we meet?
What types of meetings will we have? What will the audiences be?
What roles will we have and how will we determine them? Will they be formal and heirarchal? Rotating? Something else?

Coda uses a rotating schedule to determine our Meeting Molly for our various weekly meetings. The Molly is responsible for keeping the meeting running and reminding folks to submit their updates. Usually, we have the previous or next week's Molly act in a note-taking role.
This ensures that the same person isn't always volunteering for the administrative tasks of running a meeting. (Link to Molly template, if we have one.)
What are the goals of our meetings?
Do we have remote employees? How will we include them?

Are you all colocated, is meeting in person easy? Do you allow WFH? Do you have team members in multiple timezones?
How will we make, document, and communicate decisions?
You'll probably want to follow your organization's general approach here where it's practical.
However, if your organization's approach isn't inclusive, or if you'd like to have a more democratic approach to allow for buy-in think now about what that could look like.

How much will we share externally (with non-ERG members)? Will we communicate openly about our current goals? Can we do this while keeping the ERG a safe space?
Where can members of the ERG communicate safely and privately? Are there benefits to public versus private channels?
