Sometimes more proactive candidates ask us deeper questions regarding the culture and philosophy that we tend to build at eVitalRx to get an idea of what kind of workplace we aim to build. Since we truly believe that work is huge part of our lives and what kind of environment we work has deep impact on our overall well-being.
We will be discussing some of the philosophies here in detail.
Quarterly Evaluation
To my (Kaushal Shah) knowledge, I don’t know any single workplace that provide a quarterly evaluation. Every quarter we evaluate each and every team member for their performance and give them a chance to get promotion, salary hike, benefits etc. We also receive a candid feedback from each and every team member regarding workplace, their supervisor and we also ask them to do self-evaluation. This is truly a time and energy consuming task, especially for senior managers and HR, so why do we do it?
Well there are couple of reasons why do we do this every Quarter
eVitalRx is a fast-growing product and due to this reason, we also expect people at eVitalRx to grow at similar pace in their careers. If we expect our team members to grow at fast pace (every month or quarter), it would be unfair to provide them with salary hikes and promotions at only Annual intervals.
Inflation - Inflation is a continuous phenomenon and it impacts our lives deeply. It would be illogical to provide salary hike only annually, when your cost of living is affecting your life on daily basis.
We don’t put emphasis on where you start from. We put emphasis on where you going and how quickly you are growing. Sometimes, candidates are bad at negotiations at joining, they have taken a break in their career or they were underpaid at their last job etc. For any reason their performance in first 3 months exceed our expectations at their joining compared to their joining salary. We would like to give our team members to prove their abilities and a chance to ourselves to re-evaluate their compensations.
One thing we do promise is we never demote anyone. In last few cycles, we have provided hikes, benefits etc. to more than 70% of our team every quarter. In fact, almost no employee have gone for 6 months without seeing their compensations adjusted to their performance.

Feedback form - this form is designed for senior managers and company to learn from each team member. Team members are encouraged to be candid and honest in their feedback (and boy, we have gotten some honest feedbacks!), but not personal attacks.
Self-evaluation form - Candidates do a self-evaluation (we like them to be introspective, objective) and also defines his/her goals for next 3 months (Very specific goals).
