What it takes to become an amazing SE
When people think of engineer, they often think of mechanical or software engineer. But there’s a new class of engineers working for software product companies called Solution Engineers who are creating technical business processes, often in the sales stage, for clients to see how their needs are accomplished with that software product.

The funnel

You’ll work from the moment a prospect signs up for the software or fills out a form for a demo (intent) through when they sign a contract (or put down their credit card). You’ll possibly be part of the implementation phase, especially if the professional services team is small or non-existent.
