Confirm all employees have an assignment(s) for their scheduled hours.
Employees are at their workstations by 7am, ready to produce
Audit the operators for any PPE needed or required for the job
Is my day planned out and what did I not complete from the previous day
Check each employee for first piece
Inspect / visit operators at least once every 30 minutes
Document quality findings on the Quality log
Are machines clean at the end of the day
Verify employees have cleaned their work area, tools, bins, fixtures, floor
Confirm all tooling is put away
Address all the NCM (Non-Conforming Material)
Review operators for a minimum of 2 part cycles
Provide technique feedback to the operator for improved productivity and ergonomics
Has the operator for each process been effectively trained
Update the Quality log for up-to-date training
New operator training, document the training via TAF (Training Acknowledge Form)
End of Shift Collect all completed job quantity from operator
Housekeeping walk, everything in it’s place and clean
Open shop and turn on lights / compressor
Close shop and turn off lights / compressor
Verify maintenance requirements of warehouse department
Check hi lo battery water level
Ensure break areas are maintained and clean
Wear appropriate PPE, safety glasses
