3-Meet
Victor: Tom
Meet #1: This morning
Sergio: Jason
Paul: Andy
Meet #1: Actively scheduling
Joe: Matt (likely)
Mario: TBD
Wants to prioritize: 1) personal/spiritual formation 2) finding a wife/relationship
Positive quote: “I like how I can get experience from holy man and become a holy man of God”
Tim - Met on 7/27, agreed a bigger age gap would be better (i.e. find someone who has already gotten married, who has already gone through those big stages).
Matt - Met on 8/10, but already want to pair with Joe.
Roberto (Likely) - Meeting pushed to 8/24
Santi: TBD
Santi said: “Tom and I agreed to continue ‘unofficially’” - what does this mean?
I asked if he still wants to move forward “officially” with TC, but still awaiting response.
To-Discuss: “Given the current small pool of mentees and a few mentors on the sidelines we discussed:
Broadening the recruitment net of mentees to include sons/nephews/etc. of RC men who would be interested in TC and
For this second batch, try assigning a mentor for the 3-meet instead of going through the interview process.
Feedback from mentees: (I posed the question to mentees + awaiting response)
Mario: really thought getting to talk with multiple people before is helpful/preferred. Suggested potentially doing an social event so everyone could talk and get to know each other informally, and do it that way, so the interviews don’t draw out.
Victor: “I liked the interviews. One meet saves a lot of time with a mentor that you wouldn’t click with. Instead of being committed to 3 meet”
Paul: “I think if the interview wasn’t there, the three meeting phase would be the interview process, for better or for worse. I think the interview before ensures a good pair. Maybe the three meeting would do that as well, but it would be a longer process in my opinion.”
TO-DO:
Tom to confirm if mentors have scheduled their first “meet”
“Launch party”
For those who have already been matched, we designate that on the website
