Threads Handbook 2022

What is Threads?

Threads is a pop-up thrift shop that gives 100% of its proceeds to supports the work of making justice unstoppable for vulnerable people.
Threads was launched from the vision of IJM campus chapter leaders, and over the last 7 years, students have hosted these pop-up thrift shops across the country, raising money to fund many rescue missions.
How it works:
Host & Promote
Students decide to host a Threads pop-up thrift shop.
We give them a handbook with instructions, tips for planning and resources for promoting their event.
Collect & Sort
Collect gently used clothing items.
Sort through the donated items and decide the best way to organize and present them for the sale.
Sell & Send Rescue!
When a shopper is ready to make their purchase, the total amount is processed as a direct donation to IJM. Literally every purchase is furthering the work of justice and protection for vulnerable people.

Here’s what you’ll find in this handbook to help you every step of the way:
Planning lists and ideas to get you started.
Social media posts.
Customizable flyers and posters.
IJM survivor stories to use as tags.
