Who we are

STEAM for Vietnam is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, where we bring out talents to work as a team and make an enormous impact on STEAM education. We believe that education is the key to innovation and success. At STEAM for Vietnam, we offer high-quality courses with interactive activities to help learners stay engaged and immersed throughout sessions. Our goals are to maximize students’ potential and promote the sustainable development of the Vietnamese youth.

What we offer

Expand your network: You have a chance to work with the most talented Vietnamese around the world. Our inspiring volunteers are located across 8 time zones in North America, Europe, and Asia. We also take pride in excellent members who work at prestigious tech companies including Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and more.

Learn and grow: You get the chance to continuously learn and develop your skills. We will talk with you and assign you to the team that best fits your preferences and abilities. We also give members opportunities to rotate to different roles and teams to develop the skills they need. We offer team members training and mentoring opportunities with world-class instructors and guests and reimburse members for completing relevant online courses.

Our achievements

STEAM Bus 2022

STEAM Bus 2022 – the first nationwide project of STEAM for Vietnam, with the goal of promoting Computational thinking, has brought 10 world-class free workshops taught by expert teachers from Silicon Valley to more than 400 students in 5 provinces and cities.

STEAM Hub

STEAM Hub is STEAM for Vietnam's initiative to build technology libraries and STEAM learning centers across the nation. With the STEAM Hub network, we aim to bring equal opportunities to access the world-class STEAM curriculum by making the most of technology in the development and management process.

STEAM for Vietnam has brought more than 50 STEAM Hubs to 50 + provinces across Vietnam with the goal of providing 1.000 chromebooks, 1.000 laptops, 100 sets of VEX IQ, and other educational resources to more than 30.000 Vietnamese students.

National Robotics Tournament 2022

"National Robotics Tournament 2022" is an event in "A Year of Robotics" program that aims to pioneer bringing world-class Robotics education and global competition for Vietnamese students for free. The program’s goal is to create a robotics playground for all Vietnamese students, and at the same time, inspire them in engineering and robotics, thereby, bringing Vietnam to international robotics arenas in the future.

The event has attracted more than 500 spectators at the official venue and nearly 15.000 followers via the online platform. With the competition of 49 competing teams from 44 junior high schools and high schools in 20 provinces and cities across the country, after nearly 300 dramatic matches, 10 teams excellently won the prizes of the Robotics Tournament

Vietnam VEX IQ National Championship 2023

"Vietnam VEX IQ National Championship 2023" is also an event in "A Year of Robotics" program that has successfully brought 20 Vietnamese teams qualified to compete at VEX World Championship 2023 in the U.S for the first time in history.

Vietnam VEX IQ National Championship 2023 has attracted more than 2.000 spectators at the official venue and more than 20.000 followers via the online platform, with 1.800 dramatic matches, the competition consisted of 143 competing teams from more than 170 primary and secondary schools in 33 provinces and cities across the country.

Train the Trainers 2023

Train the trainers 2023 is a project initiated by STEAM for Vietnam, honorably accompanied by the American Center in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (part of the US Embassy and Consulate), the Scratch Foundation, the VEX Robotics foundation, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Vietnam Innovation Of General Education Foundation (VIGEF). We aim to create an educational spillover effect to children, especially those from underserved regions by providing at least the first 1000 world-class trained teachers in Vietnam. As the result, the program attracted 4.137 registrations from 63/63 cities & provinces; reached 2.000 - 3.000 viewers per online session & grew a community of over 2.500 Discord members who are educators & STEAM education passonates. 200 outstanding participants was able to join the exclusive offline events where they enjoyed intensive Robot trainings & different STEAM-related talks, panel discussions, etc. hosted by prestigious speakers & moderator from VEX Robotics, the Scratch Foundation, Unicef, Google, and other well-known establishments.

STEAMese Festival 2023

STEAMese Festival 2023 aims to promote world-class STEAM education in Vietnam by gathering and leveraging the STEAM ecosystem of global and local experts, students, teachers and more. The event was hosted for 2 days on August 26&27, 2023; attracted 2,600+ registrations; 1,691 Participants from 23 provinces across Vietnam; hosted 30+ workshops and activities with top-notch experts in Education & Technology worldwide; 46% Participants were Female; 80% survey participants satisfied with the event. The event was co-organized by STEAM for Vietnam, the American Center in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (part of the US Embassy and Consulate), Unicef & Phenikaa University.
