The Sinhala traditionally roamed Sri Lanka’s forests, hunting wildlife and harvesting crops for food. With the amount of deforestation the forests that they have traditionally hunted in are being destroyed. Over the last 60 years the Sri Lankan government has destroyed these forested areas. They have now been forbidden from hunting on the land they have been given access to.
