The Peruvian jungle is home to more than 300,000 indigenous people, but 72% of the populations in these communities have no way to demonstrate their property rights. Many of the murders of defenders and indigenous people arise from conflicts over land ownership and use, especially due to the expansion of mining and illegal logging.
