The Puak Jati Consists of seven ethnic groups - the Puak Melayu Brunei, the Puak Kedayan, Puak Dushun and Bisaya, Puak Murut, Puak Tutong, Puak Belait. These groups will be impacted by climate change all lots of severe ways.
Food security will be threatened due to projected impacts of global climate change and extreme weather on crop nutrient content and yields, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture, and land use.
Climate changes have already affected crop suitability in many areas, resulting in changes in the production levels of main agricultural crops. The economy in Brunei is highly dependent on oil production and oil accounts for 60% of GDP and 90% of the country's exports.
