4.1. Vocations

You can chose your vocation, your DM is aware of it and you embarked into the unknown, waiting for a chance to prove yourself.

Vocation Level

The Die assigned to your vocation don’t represent a pool you might roll at a moment’s notice, this is what are for.
Leveling up this vocation represents how good you are at this job, and you can assign these Die to different abilities every time you set up a camp, or rest for the night.

Monster Hunter

You know how monsters think, eat, drink and die, and you’re getting paid for that last one. You know how to set traps, how to exploit the weaknesses of dire wolves, giant wasps, goblins, revenants, and so many more.
You can assign Die to a certain monster type.
1D means you know their behavior.
2D means you have ways to affect their behavior.
3D+ accentuates the previous bonuses and ensure you always feel their presence.

Examples

Dire Wolves 1D: You know where they might go to drink and sleep.
Revenants 2D: You know that they won’t cross a pure salt line.
Werewolves 3D: One tried to ambush you, but a cloud of silver powder later and you’re the only one standing.

To assign a Die to a monster type, you need to have studied it for a day. This can be done in person, via books or training with someone who knows this kind of monster.

Mage

You had a taste of Planar power, and you want more. You can command the elements, summon otherworldly allies, and twist the minds of those around you.
You can assign Die to a certain .
1D - 3D is a basic understanding of this Plane and its power
4D - 6D means that you’re tapping further and further into the Plane.
7D+ means that you start to understand the Plane in its entirety.
These Die affect the Difficulty Level of , the amount of
received and vented, and how easy it is to on them.

Examples

1D: you can heal others with significant focus and components.
4D: You can shoot powerful lightning bolts, and you can command the wind without lifting a finger.
8D: Summon immense shapeless beasts, force someone to turn on their allies without a word.

To assign a Die to a Plane, you need to be aware of its true potential. Witnessing a dire display of its power, discovering an artifact attuned to it or studying can help you in this endeavor.

Leader

Arrows fly by you, men are dying left and right, but your friends smile, for they know you’ll get them home safely, you always do.
You know how to motivate your troops in their darkest hour and get them to push themselves in the face of danger.
You can assign Die to your allies. You can spend those Die to help your allies. You regain them after resting.
You can only use those Die one at a time.

Die Usage

Roll a Die, add the result to any action of your ally. (To be right after your ally rolls)
Expend a Die to allow your ally to use any action out of their turn. They take no penalty.
Expand one to draw an enemy to yourself. The best leader help their troops, they don’t hide.
