🏕️ Csörög

Csörög is a tiny village close to Budapest. When you arrive in Csörög, you will meet citizens who are proud of who they are, their village's history, and their cultural heritage. Besides the respect they have for their ancestors and history, the village is in constant development to face the challenges of the modern world.

Since it is only 1 hour from Budapest, this quiet village is a perfect choice for those who want to escape the capital city’s noisy, cramped environment. Here you can enjoy green scenery and peaceful quiet, with many more sights near the village. Of course, if you’d like to explore the capital city, there are more sights and places you can visit, so your leisure time in Hungary is going to be well spent for sure. 😉

🏘️ ACCOMMODATION IN CSÖRÖG

While in Csörög, you will live in the after-school building.

You will sleep in the attic (see below), in a big shared room on mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bags with you!

There will be one bathroom, two toilets, and a kitchen available in the building. There is a washing machine available.

🍲 MEALS

We will provide 3 meals/day for you (hot meals for lunch and dinner). A vegetarian option will also be available. For allergies or dietary needs, please inform us in advance so we can ensure they are accommodated. At the after-school place, the plan is for the staff and volunteers to cook together, so be prepared to cook your favorite national dishes for the team! Of course, the ingredients will be provided.

If your diet is special/extreme, we suggest you bring some food with you to complement the provided food. In this case, you can avoid potential glitches or shortages due to unexpected dietary needs.

We kindly ask you to be responsible for consuming alcohol outside of service hours. Please do not let the children down by missing a day or being not able to focus on them after a night party. That’s the same with smoking; please do not smoke in front of the children.

In Hungary, it is also prohibited to consume drugs or have some in your possession. The same rules apply to our workcamps. Please respect these rules.
