About the Workcamp
Egyesek Youth Association organizes this volunteer program in collaboration with Foundation.
They started to work in in 2016, the year when the project began that earned the village the nickname "Fresco Village", as Roma painters transformed the walls of the houses into beautiful works of art. Bódvalenke is mostly inhabited by Roma people, whose only employment opportunity is public works. Over the years, several projects have been launched to support the disadvantaged local community. Nearly 100 children are living in Bódvalenke, making up half of the village’s population.
We are on the lookout for 8 passionate volunteers to improve the lives of marginalized children from the Roma community.
You will play a vital role in organizing a summer camp for children aged 3 to 18! As a volunteer, you can teach English, lead games and sports activities, while giving so much more: bringing joy, building trust, and boosting their self-confidence. The children will attend the activities in age-based groups every day from Monday to Friday. Join the foundation's dedicated team and bring joy and learning into the lives of local children together!

📅 Start date: 12th July 2026, 10 am (date of arrival, a long travel from Budapest, preparation for the camp activities, getting to know each other)
📅 End date: 18th July 2026 (date of departure, cleaning the house, no activity)

👄 Camp language: English or Hungarian.
