🕔 Option 2: Join us and travel togather from Budapest:
2024 July 5., 6 pm at the bus station at Újpest
If you arrive by plane in Budapest you have to go to Újpest (ca. 1 hour with 100E airport bus and M3 metro), where we suggest reaching a long-distance bus to Rétság then from there to Bánk. The bus from Budapest to Bánk takes around 2 hours. After filling the confirmation form we will connect you and formulate small groups for the journey inside of Hungary.
🚉 LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN BUDAPEST
In order to plan your trips, check schedules, buy tickets and use Budapest’s public transport. You are advised to download the
. Google Maps is also a good alternative to check the best routes from one point to another.
How to get to Bánk from Budapest Airport (aprox.: 2,5 hours):
Buy one “airport shuttle bus single ticket”, it costs 2200 HUF
🎫 at the ticket machine right in front of the exit or
📲 use BudapestGO mobile application.
Take bus 100E just in front of the exit gate. Don’t forget to validate your ticket on the bus. Get off at the stop called “Deák Ferenc tér”.
Take M3 (blue) metro from “Deák Ferenc tér” to “Újpest-városkapu”. For the metro you can buy a single ticket for 450 HUF, once again from the ticket machine or via the app. Don’t forget to validate it before you get on the metro! 🙂
Once there, you have to get on a long-distance bus to Rétság. These buses look different from the buses in the city, so keep in mind to look for a yellow or white bus. When you reach the stop “Rétság, autóbusz-forduló” get off the bus and get on another long-distance bus that heads towards Bánk. For these buses you either have to buy a ticket from a booth usually located at the bus stop, or you can buy it online through
