As I transition from a very much “timiing” feel to this feel. I have noted that the feeling is more of a square club face through much of the down swing feel. I am not rolling the wrists, hoping I rolled them at the correct time. I am not playing golfing all day, every day trying to find and hold on to the “timing” of the move. I did that and it worked. However, I don’t have that time or my hitting bay for a while yet. Instead, with this new feel I find that I can go a few days without playing and get right back to where I need to be. I also find that it is not dependent on a grip or sequencing specific body movements. What the body does is important of course and I work on that too but my results are now more about my wrists and less about my body.
Essentially, it is about squaring the club face before, during and after impact.
Now I spend my time with chipping, pitching and pre-drill routines that constantly rehearse the wrist positions through impact.
