Creating the Activity Persona

Digital Gaps interviewed 5 Service Users focusing on the barriers accessing physical activity to meet their needs. The following barriers where then translated from the interviews to create an combined view of

Need to know if activity appropriate to client needs
Need to understand exactly what the activity/service is offering to ensure client can cope
Client lacks confidence, has anxiety, embarrassed so needs hand-holding to attend
Client isn’t interested in doing physical activity, too many other problems

Motivation to get up and get out the house
Motivation is taken away due to anxiety and depression through Covid
Liferooms was a big motivator but this has stopped due to covid Arthritis
Boring stuff like the gym
Times of the day Would try it if it sounded interesting but if I didn’t like it or it was too physical would stop
Would consider cost as budget is very tight
Your dyslexia stops you because of fear of being singled out
