Netblen Notebook

An encrypted (E2EE) notebook with a lot of features: Zettelkasten note taking method with links between notes and tree view, graph view, with multiple content types.

Features

Zettelkasten

All notes can have links to others, in non-tree organisation, which is very flexible to data and knowledge management.

Tree View

Tree view is available for user to navigate from any note in graph data, the tree view is erected up from graph using relations. This is classical and convenient for most users.

Graph View

Graph view is where user can navigate to notes from a starter note or pinned note. Starter note is the note with outbound links but no inbound links, they’re found automatically by the software. Pinned note is a manually pinned note from UI.

Custom Graph View

Custom graph view is for drawing the graph manually, which can contain links to notes, links to web pages, links to other custom graphs, and label nodes.

Encryption

Netblen Notebook runs on the Netblen service platform and has encryption on client side (E2EE) by default. Data are encrypted before saving and never naked data are sent to servers.

Encryption is optional, by default the username and password are both ‘--’ which the app will try to use upfront.

Workspaces

Netblen Notebook has multiple workspaces, each is linked to a cloud drive folder for sync’ing and sharing separately to different groups of people.

Sort Order

Beside alphabetic order, Netblen Notebook has manual ordering of items in tree for better note organising similar to books.

Visual Export

A workspace can be exported to a visual HTML book with Table of Contents and goes together with resources such as images.

Data Export

A whole workspace can be exported to JSON and a Zip file containing resources, eg. images, for automated processing on your note data.

Data Import

The exported JSON data can be imported back in, including the resource files.

Sharing

User can export and share single note or the whole workspace. Single note can be uploaded to Dropbox to share, and the whole workspace as HTML book can be uploaded to
