Jae made me aware of job and encouraged me to apply
Introduced me to the “culture”. As I mentioned, as a former performing artist, I wish I would have known about organizations like the Intersection long ago. I would love to play a role in continuing the mission.
I’d like to explain how I may be able to help. In short, I have practiced many of the skills I believe would be essential to supporting intersection in the Grant Manager roles. From what I gathered the position requires a project manager that can coordinate with and provide clarity for multiple stakeholders. and that is how I’ve approached work and projects in the past and would love to bring those skills and values to the Intersection team. Process and Financial
First, I deeply value and excel at designing processes and implementing business operations. I have found that ambitious arts and social good projects must begin with exciting ideas, but it is usually the structure that allows stakeholders to collaborate and bring those ideas to fruition . In other words, every dream needs a good checklist.
In my work with BOSS on the cummunications team my remit was to organize and improve the communication flow both internally and externally. Created a system This included creating a centralized “inbox” for staff program updates and messages and accomplishments Then I designed a marketing workflow in Clickup, including a general content/event callendar
In my work as a marketing freelancer I have designed onboarding software like dubsado, and coda, and sequenced emails with clear simple instructions on what I needed and resources they can quickly access and what to expect going forward. I am proud of the work and deliverables I produced, but 80% of the success was due to clear client management and communication
Examples : Marketing plan including campaign and content calendars
The tools: Saleforce project/work management software like clickup, Asana, Coda, Smartsuite

Having a performing arts education, I early identified gaps in my Financial education and continually filled them with self-study and learning by doing. My degree included economics, business calculus. During my studies at Wichita State, I developed one on one learning mentorhsips with Rarubaugh the responsible for managing grants for college of fine arts and John D’Angelo Arts and Cultural Policy. Participate in the grant cycles of local arts organizations like Harvester Arts
Working as a restaurant manager for 5 years with Peets Coffee and Panera Bread I was responsible for my restaurant’s Profit and Loss statement
Finance how the funding of nonprofit and business fit into the larger context of economy and society. Knowing how to operate in the climate is crucial. I am proud to say I have experience and Icontinueing to expand my knowlege. From grant writing to entrepreneurship
At O2 Corporation I among my responsibilites were sending quotes, processing sales invoices in and Quickbooks, and managing sales pipelines
Have plans to further formalize my financial education financial modeling for entrepreneurship for projects in 2024

Variety of experience, love to contribute and learn amongst proffessionals who are competent and care about the larger picture that arts provides. Amplifying the messages and social coheasion and soul that we all need from the leading artistic minds. Keen observers of our world and the human condition need to be heard and supported. It is my role to elevate their place in the world by supporting them structurally.

Please continue below for a few examples.

Business Operations and Project Management

I’ve found that making creative, inspired dreams come true—almost always relies on a good spreadsheet and a great checklist! ...A surprising revelation to a former performing artist! That’s why i use my ability as a design thinker to developing process maps standardized SOP’s, checklists, templates to consistently produce quality deliverables to clients.
During my time with O2 Corporation, this is how I was able to orchestrated a fairly complex shipping and supply chain for the highly-regulated aerospace industry with accuracy and transparency.
I’ve used similar concepts successfully with the bay area housing nonprofits BOSS and St Vincent de Paul. In both cases I was able to improve workflows and create templates for publishing/event calendars, fundraising campaigns, and automated client onboarding sequences (platform access, document sharing, meeting schedules, project timelines, ect).

At Wichita State University, I approached my BA in Performing Arts with an eye on arts management graduate programs, so I was sure to include electives like economics, business calculus, entrepreneurship, and business systems management as well as cultivating one on one mentorships with arts funding experts.
I learned the Americans for the Arts framework for grant writing in an ad-hoc internship with Justin Rorabaugh ,WSU Director of Grants and Scholarship Administration for the WSU School of Fine Arts.
