SG-TF-S-165W solar panel
Investigate removing one of the rear solar panels to add space for Starlink dish [yes, and change the other to 165W]
Birch ply 18mm
SG-TF-S-135W solar panel
Talked to “Julia SUNGOLD” +86 130 0661 6150 on WhatsApp in 2023 about making some of these panels with the junction box on the backside. I’m confirming that this is still possible. She quoted $111 per panel. I have messaged her to check. I also have an email with Candy Lai mer6@sungoldsolar.com.cn but most of the chat is in WhatsApp. Got updated quote $101/panel + $625 shipping, so $3857 for 32 panels. She also included a drawing of the panel with the junction box on the back of the panel. Specs: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/j65wv14xd2qhx9l7h3fps/SG-TF-S-135W.pdf?rlkey=ifywh90fui6wiu00h9y4rtmwb&dl=0
MB31 lithium cell 314Ah
Re: Confirm bus bars still work with 304ah cells New MB31 314Ah cells have old style terminal ✅ Shenzhen Luyuan (who I bought the old cells from) had the 304Ah version for $85/cell... They don’t have the 314Ah listed yet, so check back in future. Previous shipping price for battery order was $2200, so I will assume $2500 this time. QSO is recommended by Off Grid Garage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVnL6c7A_T0 They have them at $65 + $32 shipping (see price below).
16.00 R20 XZL tyre
Back in 2021, Vrakking gave me various options for used and new tires of various ages. Used: €350 - €600 Unused: 12/13yr old: €600 10/11yr old: €750 8/9yr old: €900 6yr old: €1,100 5yr old: €1,250 3/4yr old: €1,500 Brand new: €1,850 I will confirm these prices, but I don’t want to bug Vrakking any more right now. I’ll use the unused 5yr old version (€1,250) as the bases for this quote.
Actros 3344
To work out the CAD chassis mass: Using rough weights from here. Curb weight of truck currently (9,202 kg) Minus steel wheels and tires (wheel: 45, tyre: 65, total: 660kg) Plus Hutchinson wheels and 16.00s (wheel: 35kg, tire: 150kg, total: 1,110kg) Minus 400L fuel tank, plus 2 x 500L tanks, plus extra diesel (steel 400L tank: 55kg, alu 500L tank: 35kg. 600L extra diesel: 500kg.) total: 9209 - 660 + 1110 - 55 + 2*35 + 500 = 10,174kg
PineNote e-ink tablet
It looks like this will be very tricky to get Gio running… I’ve emailed the Gio mailing list, but this guy had a lot of trouble even getting Linux running: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOLD5YUNz04
Manual grey water dump valve
Shower Sump Multiports 1000 GPH 24V
Starlink dish (standard)
Dishy DC Starlink power supply
NeverLube 1½”- 2” Three Way Valve (
NF-A14 140mm fan
Kmeter Isolation Unit
Not sure what's the difference between the KmeterISO and the Kmeter units? https://docs.m5stack.com/en/unit/KMeterISO Unit https://docs.m5stack.com/en/unit/kmeter I have asked in the forum: https://forum.m5stack.com/topic/6261/kmeteriso-vs-kmeter It looks like the ISO version does some extra processing, so I’ve used that one for this product.
ENV III Unit
NF-A20 200mm fan
Extending ladder 4.1m (
Heavy duty slides for cab bars ~1750mm
Bamboo Toilet Seat
Stainless Steel Siphon
Urine Separator XL White
Battery tray
Based on recent quote for water tanks, I think they will cost about £1,250 each. (No connections, but extra complexity with the removable lid).
Electric grey water ball valve
MRBF fuse
MRBF fuse terminal block
FE9381-EHV camera
Flat High Performance Starlink dish
Isotherm BI 92 Dual freezer
This is really expensive and uses 130kwh/yr of power (main fridge uses ~100kwh/yr). Maybe better to change the fridge for a larger one and remove this? See [Research fridges]. I think maybe even if we don’t find a different fridge, we should maybe remove this…
OLED65G36LA TV
We have a problem… 2021 was the last year that LG TVs were skinny 19.9mm… The G2 (2022) and G3 (2023) models went up to 25mm thick. This will mean the ceiling mount is 5mm thicker… I’ll use the G3 version for now but the G4 version is coming soon.
CWM652 speakers
CWM663 speakers
Zero W 2
Mira 13.3” e-ink touchscreen
Waterproof enclosure
Voltmeter Unit
Gobius C tank sender
Version 3.0 now supports metal tanks and diesel, so we can use this on the diesel tanks too.
Busbar terminal cover
Convector 60x60x700mm
Convector 60x60x400mm
UV-C LED unit
They never got back to me with an estimate of how many units I would need in the tanks… I might have to do some research to work this out myself. I’ve emailed mwood@stanleyelectric.co.uk to nag. Also, these are much more expensive than I assumed. Maybe switch back to the Famous Water submersible lamp?
Toilet tap
Acrylic mirror
Hepvo trap
Toilet sink
Delrin 12mm sheet
Delrin 6mm sheet
Drawer slides 1500mm
Busbar 72mm
Busbar 84mm
We will need to update the design to make these compatible with the new terminal design on the 304Ah EVE cells, but I’m sure the price will be similar.
DZ3932EC drawer slides 650mm
Soft close (not locking) slides: DZ3932EC, 650mm.
EVVA 4KS Cam Lock
Drawer slides and platform for 80x60 euro box
Synchronisation controller (4 way)
Linear Actuator Series F 900mm
They also have a kit... not sure if that’s cheaper: https://www.carymart.com/12v-24v-electric-linear-actuator-f-onecontrolfour-synchronous-control-kit-p-2559.html?zenid=mst0u9cj42luk49lksffj0l5d2 Need to decide what gearing... Approx weight 450kg, split between 4 actuators, so ~120kg each. Options are 60mm/sec (max thrust 200kg) or 38mm/sec (max thrust 320kg). They say we should only load them to 50% max for long life... If weight stays below 500kg, then the faster 200kg version should be fine. However, the slower ones might last longer... Research needed.
Mattress 180x200
Linear Drain 5P
Hand shower, hose, spigot
Raindance E
Grohtherm Smartcontrol mixer
Kitchen sink
Stainless steel sheet 5mm, 316
Metal 4U seems crazy expensive… Needs research. (And was 304 so deleted). MH Steel is cheaper but not sure about the surface finish… We need “316” grade stainless, which is more corrosion resistant than “304”. This is twice the price I imagined, so maybe look for a different work surface material? Here’s a quote for half the price from Metal Supermarket, but they only have 304 grade, not 316: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ra0ndwjynylgg6g517rwt/Sales_MSUK_SO1387829.20240328-104808.pdf?rlkey=ndxyxgq4l84jc34kaxd5jzngf&dl=0 I asked on a metalwork forum if 304 will be fine: https://metalworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=210060&p=2014789
Oven / microwave
Looks like the Panasonic HL-SX485 doesn’t exist any more… Needs research.
IH 35 induction hob
Washing machine WGG2449RGB
Dishwasher DD60ST4HNX9
Fridge RS68A884CB1
As per Research fridges I will decide on a fridge nearer the date. There’s plenty of identical sized options from £800 - £1,350. I’ll assume the Bosch but make a final decision later. Changed to 600L American style Samsung fridge as per: Should we change to a 600L American style fridge freezer? [tl/dr: yes]
Water-Jack spare filters
Price includes: 2 x Ceramic Filtercartridge Ceradyn https://www.famous-water-shop.com/epages/62572049.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62572049/Products/FW20743 2 x Activated Carbon Cartridge Carbodyn https://www.famous-water-shop.com/epages/62572049.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62572049/Products/FW20704
Water-Jack Fresh Combi
Price includes 4.8 bar pump and standard filters
Accumulator
2L seems a little small, but these have to go in the space above the water tank and below the bed, so must be as compact as possible… Perhaps add 2 accumulators per water tank?
Fresh water pump
UV-12 submersible lamp
I’ve replaced this with a cheaper option - the Stanley fixed UV-C LED units.
e2-60
e2-60 short
Need to check the exact price on this, but assuming a little cheaper than the e2-60.
Convector 60x30x250mm
Can’t find a price for this size, but will probably be about the same as the other sizes.
4-Relay Unit
EV200ADANA contactor
This is the contacter recommended by REC BMS so it should be good “Designed to be the smallest, lightest weight, lowest cost sealed contactor in the industry.” https://www.rec-bms.com/rec-accessories/
48V 1500W thermostat
48V 1500W immersion element
Heating manifold
Circulation pump (CM10P7-1)
Plate heat exchanger
Hydronic S3 D6L
I believe this includes the high altitude kit built-in (when the Pro controller is used). We should check this.
ATOM PWM Kit
This module can dim lights, but the PWM add-on is the easiest way to power the ATOM module from 24V, so I will use it everywhere an ATOM is needed.
LumiFlex3080 LED Strip
This is the most efficient 2700K LED strip (144Lm/W), but only CRI80. All the CRI90/95 options are under 100Lm/W… Not sure if CRI80 will be a problem… There’s also an 840Lm/m version… would that be bright enough? https://www.ledrise.eu/led-strips-modules/led-strips/flexible-nichia-led-strips/lumiflex1080-2700k-cri80-lumistrips-warm-white-38667.html

DC4812VRF aircon (outdoor)
DC4812VRF aircon (indoor)
I emailed jwilliams@hotspotenergy.com to check the price They replied: DC4812VRF $2095 each - 1 pallet: 18x40x41"; 175 lbs. Add $50.00 for prep. 2 units on a single pallet: 40x40x40"; 350 lbs. $60.00 Prep. If the shipping company needs the freon removed it will be an extra $120 per unit. Let’s assume they don’t need this for now. So $2125 per unit for two (£1,680.51, so £840.25 for each indoor/outdoor unit). I got a shipping quote from Parcel Hero, £1,379.19, so £344.80 for each of the indoor/outdoor units.

10.00x20 bead locks
Back in 2021, Vrakking gave me a quote of €125 for Hutchinson bead locks. I will confirm this price, but I don’t want to bug Vrakking any more right now.
10.00x20 aluminium wheel
Back in 2021, Vrakking gave me a quote for WO-2265A wheels at €700 each. I need to talk to them about the best way to upgrade the new truck to these wheels, but I don’t want to bug them too much right now.

DT6797R Sideway pass-through
Here’s the catalog… https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/lh180rz4jluvl32h4hpod/WideBird-catalogue-UK-June-2023.pdf?rlkey=nlxolyeaf3986x75ln2oit1o9&dl=0 … maybe we can use the standard DT6797L version with 742 x 1042 outer dimensions? The height is prefect, but the door is wider than we have in the design… There’s only 748mm gap between the bathroom / toilet walls in the Fusion 360 design, so this is risky… Will have to check carefully before ordering… Got a quote for the DT6797R standard size access door: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/rj5my74hcjncjquh8acd0/AG-243019rev03-Brophy-UK.pdf?rlkey=qeyz3joc6hlyfvo4b21w8pu3q&dl=0 Widebird are no longer making custom size access doors, so this one will have to work. [Check standard size Widebird door / pass-through fit and update CAD] Here’s the dimensions for the two Sideway doors: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1khW7DdwyJGnz0dm--lm5DMOIwAg_3WLLVBEVhn35TOU/edit?usp=sharing We need the “L” version so it’s hinged on the left, so blocks the toilet door (not the shower / entrance) when open. I’ve updated the name. WAIT! We need to door to open with the hinge nearest the shower, so if the shower door is latched open, and we need to get from the cab to the box, we need to reach through on the toilet side and unlatch the shower door... So we need the “R” version. This is wrong in the OnShape model. I’ll add a task: Change crawl-through door so it’s hinged on the RHS (so we have access to the shower door latch if the shower door is latched open).
T72192L Sideway door
Emailed info@widebird.com for a quote Here’s the catalog: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/lh180rz4jluvl32h4hpod/WideBird-catalogue-UK-June-2023.pdf?rlkey=nlxolyeaf3986x75ln2oit1o9&dl=0 We will need a custom side door. Widebird are no longer making custom sizes, so the T72192R will have to do. Re: Check standard size Widebird door / pass-through fit and update CAD Here’s the quote: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/rj5my74hcjncjquh8acd0/AG-243019rev03-Brophy-UK.pdf?rlkey=qeyz3joc6hlyfvo4b21w8pu3q&dl=0 Here’s the dimensions for the two Sideway doors: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1khW7DdwyJGnz0dm--lm5DMOIwAg_3WLLVBEVhn35TOU/edit?usp=sharing To have the door opening as per the CAD, we need the “L” version. I’ve updated the model number. Confirm which side the hinges should be on the door
Diesel tank 650L
To attach the [Gobius C tank sender] we use the [Gobius C adapter for metal tanks] which needs: The adapter is screwed into the existing “Wema & KUS brackets”, 1,25″ SAE 5. We should check this diesel tank has this.

https://www.laminateandply.com/shop/laminate-sheets/fenix-bianco-kos-0032-ultramatt-h-p-laminate-3050x1300x0-9mm/ £172.50 for 3.965 m2 I think we need one of the thicker types with matched core for edge banding, but I can only find prices for the 0.9mm version online. This will do fine for the flat faces.
Fenix edge banding
Can’t find a price for the thicker versions (with matched core)... Will need to contact them. Assuming twice the price of 0.9mm, so about £100/sqm. Assuming we cut into 50mm strips, 1m2 will give 20m of edge, so I’ll estimate £5/linear meter.
Eloscope tap
Need to find a sink that’s compatible and hides the tap
Piano hinge
Can’t find stainless piano hinges of the right width pre-drilled, so we’ll have to drill our own holes. Not sure if 20mm or 25mm will be best for the 12mm drawer fronts. I’ll assume 25mm.
