If you are customizing data in the CRANE tool model that you are working on, you should edit the references to correspond to the data you are using.

On this page, you will find:

Edit reference

To edit the reference, you can click the EDIT REFERENCE button on the top right.

This will open a small pop up below where you can edit the reference name, reference and add notes to any references.

Delete reference

If you would like to delete the reference you can click the trash bin icon to the right of the reference shown below. This must be done individually for each reference.

Add a new reference

To add a new reference, click the add new reference button shown below.

⁠

Give the reference a name, add the reference and provide any notes that might be important in the notes section.

Save reference

To save the reference(s) click save and close shown below.

FAQs

Is there a limit to the number of references I can add?

No, but we advise you to only add references that are relevant to your model to keep it concise.

What happens if I accidentally delete an original reference used by the CRANE tool?

First navigate to the report page and save your solution to my solutions. Create a new model with the same technology solution and extract the reference from that model and copy and past the reference data into your model.

What reference style should I use?

We do not provide guidance on a specific reference style to use, but we recommend that you are consistent throughout your model to make it easier to read.
