In order to serve this rapidly growing market, Cohere is developing a network of member-owned coliving communities located in seductively remote areas of the world. Equal parts ecovillage, innovation hub and retreat center, our spaces and programming provide the container for authentic connection, personal growth and frictionless collaboration.

From the locations we've chosen to the amenities we provide, our spaces have been intelligently designed for high-functioning remote workers that are seeking a higher quality of life and deeper connection with themselves, their community and the natural world. Our members have the freedom to travel between a continually evolving network of locations while earning equity that goes with them, wherever their journey takes them.

Long Description

We’ve developed a fractionalized ownership model that disincentivizes land ownership by developing an alternative that is substantially more valuable – financially, socially, environmentally, and otherwise. As a part of this effort, we're developing a distributed network of co-living/co-working spaces that provides the flexibility of renting and the value of owning.

As a member, this provides fractional ownership of the assets held by the company, which would be held in a Community Land Trust attached to an easement for conservation purposes. So, rather than buying a house and (hopefully) gaining equity on one property (which is subject to the volatility of the market and local conditions), members would be investing in a crypto-backed REIT which gains in value based on the cumulative success of the holdings.

We see these spaces as a starting point for a larger development to form around them. We're taking a very strategic 'commerce-first' approach to village building by developing the residential community around the 'financial district', rather than the inverse approach that many communities take – often leading to heightened tension around money; and, in some cases, their eventual demise due to financial insecurity.
