As a Canology Driver, you are entitled to rest and meal breaks according to California labor law. Here’s a summary of your break entitlements and clocking instructions:
Rest Breaks
Duration: 10 minutes per 4-hour work period (or major portion thereof).
Compensation: Rest breaks are paid.
Timing: Breaks should be spaced as evenly as possible throughout your work period.
Clocking: No need to clock in or out for rest breaks. At the end of each day, you will confirm that you have taken your breaks.
Meal Breaks
Duration: 30 minutes if your workday is 5 hours or longer.
Uninterrupted: This break should be uninterrupted and completed before the end of your fifth hour of work.
Example: If your shift begins at 8:00 AM, your meal break must be finished by 1:00 PM.
Scheduling: Canology dispatch will allocate a 30-minute time slot each day for your meal break.
Clocking: Please clock out at the start of your meal break and clock back in once it ends.
Missed Clock-In/Out
If you miss clocking in or out for your meal break, promptly notify your supervisor so any recording issues can be corrected.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand the above lunch and break policy:
