quest to bring the dance community together, we have put together ways that we as a community can financially support our teaching artists & studios AND keep dancing during these uncertain times. Follow Bopsidy on
🏢 Donate, buy merch, and/or buy class packs from studios. We need the studios to stick around for when we're ready to return and they're at risk of shutting down or majorly downsizing their operations (space, staff, etc). See the growing list of studio details below.
👯 Donate to our teaching artists & educators. Teaching artists - mostly freelancers - are often paid by the number of students attending their class. They already took a large financial hit with low class attendance and now with studio closures. Many teachers are offering online classes (see a list here:
The details below were submitted directly by the studios & instructors who each verified their identity by DM'ing us from their official social accounts. We tried to catch errors but aren't responsible for any inaccuracies. Please reach out to them directly if you have questions or issues.

Because we are in the middle of a huge remodel at our new location, we are more vulnerable than usual. We could take this time to do more work to the studio but because we are so worried about money, we are really nervous about spending.

When we opened our studio doors in 2010, our vision was to create a place where we could share our love of dance with others. Ten years and thousands of classes later, we are so proud that In The Groove Studios has become a home to more than 300 dancers, a handful of teams, and amazing teachers from all over the Bay and beyond.
But like many small businesses, we’ve been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since closing our doors, we’ve been doing everything we can to keep the studio afloat, including offering online dance classes and applying for federal and local grants. Unfortunately we weren’t awarded any grants, and the online classes simply aren’t enough.
With our cash reserves dwindling rapidly, we reach out to you for help in covering In The Groove’s most urgent costs.
“[In Gaga] we become more aware of our form. We connect to the sense of the endlessness of possibilities. We explore multi-dimensional movement; we enjoy the burning sensation in our muscles, we are ready to snap, we are aware of our explosive power and sometimes we use it. We change our movement habits by finding new ones. We go beyond our familiar limits. We can be calm and alert at once.” –Ohad Naharin
In Gaga We Will:
•open blocked pathways
•heighten our senses and connect them to our pleasure
If anyone needs help getting their instruction online, we want to help! Our core values are quality, inclusivity and fair pay.

At this time we are asking our community to help contribute to our artist fund to be able to pay our active performing artists for rehearsals, travel and performances coming up. This halt in cash flow and resources have effected Rising Rhythm's ability to continue to pay our performers, musicians, graphic artists, and dance artists in training. We are never greedy and don't accept money for personal spending, we are ALWAYS in the best interest of our collective members.
Please contribute so we can continue to create and compensate these dancers after this global crisis is over.
