Summary

It’s common in some countries to include a personal summary on the resume. While this is typically not done in the US, a brief summary - eg. a tailored-to-the-role version of your bio in - can be helpful in giving recruiters/hiring managers a broad overview of who you are and why you might be suited for the role. You might not have space to include this section in your one-page PDF, but can always have it in the online version of your resume.

Interests

Recruiters also want to know that you’re human, and humans have interests.
Interests are potential opportunities for deeper connection, especially you have a relatively niche interest in common.
Related interests can also show suitability for a position; for example, blogging is an interest compatible with writing positions.
