This is a freeware party game of mystery and intrigue, a blend between theatre games and
. It is intended for seven players -- plus a host who may or may not be one of the parts. It will probably take from 2 to 4 hours. The time can be controlled by opening clues sooner. The game is played out purely by social interaction. Each person attending will be playing the part of a character in a murder mystery. They will act in character, and will know only what their character knows. Together, they will discover that a murder has been committed, and collect the facts of the murder. Then, between them, they have enough information to discover the identity of the murderer. They will discuss, accuse, and in general have fun investigating.

On Wednesday, August 5th, 1932, you and eight other passengers boarded a three-day express train from
Bombay, India to Lisbon, Portugal. Unfortunately, one did not survive the journey. It is now up to you and
the seven passengers left to decide who killed the eighth.
Leota Xavier was the most despised lady in the town of Dreary Hollow. With a sharp tongue and scowls galore, this spinster managed to make more enemies than friends during her miserable lifetime. A five-time widow with more money than good sense, she had retired from being the headmistress at Dark Harbor Preparatory School long ago. She lived alone in a mansion on the outer edge of town with nine cats and terrorized the townsfolk when her butler drove her into town. To nobody’s surprise, Leota’s body was discovered in her front yard early this morning. The Dreary Hollow Police have summoned you. You either have the missing pieces of the puzzle needed to solve the case, or you are a prime suspect. This is where your story begins.
Built in 1891, the Buffalo Express is a luxury steam locomotive that makes five stops between New York City to Cleveland, Ohio. It's 1934, and the next voyage of the train will roll out from New York City with a fully-booked First-Class carriage. The train staff has ensured the food is fresh, the ice cubes are perfect squares, and every nook and cranny is free of dust. With this many VIPs onboard, everything must be in perfect order. You will be on the locomotive for the journey to Cleveland. This is where your story begins.
