2. Helping to build presence

Help others build and amplify their work

Why it matters

As someone familiar with your contacts, friends, and former colleagues’ skills, you’re well-positioned to help them build and amplify their brand. Your word and sponsorship will go a long way with your network, as that BIPOC and women face throughout their careers - particularly during the job hunt process.
Even if you don’t think you’ve got the strongest relationships to a connection, ask anyway - folks are often more keen to help than you’d expect. As a bonus, it’s also a great way for you to strengthen the connection as it gives you an excuse to re-connect.

What to remember

You’re the microphone: focus on amplifying job seekers’ voices and impact.
Be constructive, but sensitive: provide objective feedback and clarify the “why” behind it.
