Have wanted to do the train ride for Winnipeg to Churchill. Not sure best time to see both or to pick one or the other. The research trips might be nice / might be a pain. Need to research.

I have learned a few. So far the one that most sticks: take a small bottle of pesto; toss chicken, chopped red peppers, red onion, cherry tomatoes; bake 425 for ~20 min (until done). Not necessary, but could turn chicken after 15 min to color both sides. Last 5 min add feta &optional sliced black olives

Cocktail making

Attended the Canadian finals of the Amaro Montenegro cocktails competition. Bartenders from across the country were challenged to create a cocktail of the future, 140 yrs from now how will cocktails be enjoyed. This Amaro brand was founded in 1885 so it is fitting. Many competitors had a futuristic, environmental story.. slicing bio together...1/Laiwei bartender. Peated whiskey (round mouth feel and smiky finidh), Oolong tea (tears of the moon from an unrequited lover (complement ), lemon(tart), raspberry (sweet tart).. all wrapped into a metaphor of rockets ship 2/’Time capsule’. Bar Mordecai, Toronto Dan... mushroom (umami), banana tincture (w/ru, sherry, milkwash), Amaro, chocolate, one other ingred 3/ Gino Negroni and Lasagna., Montreal, ..Tomato, basil, tomato dehydrated, with salt 4/Jade Runner, Lucas, Baghera, Vancouver, Amaro, green mandarin , plum spirit (complexity), Casio flower dried extract (spice, acidity), coconut water (dilution)....carbonated to keep consisteavross, served over top of chilled Jade stone (large round ball), with a floral top. 5/’Timeless Illena’ Bar Mordecai, Nora... All ingredients were available in 1885.. Rose petals (accent floral), ginevar & tart cherry juice infused with spices..i.e. cardamon, cinnamon, and also dehydrated (orange feel, peel, with pulp), raspberry, green grape.. use a salt shaker ... 6/ “printed botany “Laci Robert's, Published on Main ...Amaro Montenegro, blue raspberry (candy flavour for childlike fun), bloody limes, chestnut (in trees, fall into ground, decompose into ground)...depth &nutrients in amaro & malaike(floor, full wcosystem.. chestnut to mushroom.... no ice....60ml.. in bloody limes..add water...
