General information:

Date: June 24th (Monday)
Location: Biological Sciences (BIOL) - 1000
Time: 15:30 - 18:00 (2.5 hour)
Allowed materials: A4 cheatsheet (double-sided, typed or handwritten), calculator
There are 7 questions to be scored out of 80 marks.
The following normal table will be provided to allow you look up the probability of standard
normal distribution.

No other distribution tables or formula sheets will be given on the exam.

Scope:

Module 1 - 4
Given you only have two days to prepare for the final exam, I provide here some topics that
will not be included in the final exam.
The following are not included: Set identities; Inclusion-Exclusion formulas; Bayes theorem; Markov/Chebyshev’s inequality; Binomial approximation; Continuity correction; Order statistics.

I will provide one practice exam that is similar to the final exam in terms of content and structure. Son will conduct a tutorial session to go over the practice exam.
Additionally, I will provide a shorter set of extra practice problems and review them in my own review session.
The detailed solutions to the practice exams/problems will be posted on Friday(June 21) night.

If you are short on time, make sure you understand each question in the practice exams and worksheets. I have prepared worksheets on joint (discrete and continuous) distributions, total laws, and the central limit theorem, as these topics are important and will all be tested on the final exam.
