How does Bomb Party Jewelry Come to Be? Did you see Lillian Bulkley’s recent video, introducing a trip to visit BP vendors in China? We’ve seen some questions come up in video comments and we’d love to help provide some answers!
Is Bomb Party jewelry designed in the USA?
Yes! As noted on packaging, every single piece is custom-designed for Bomb Party, in the USA, by our USA-based design team.
Does Bomb Party partner with international vendors?
Yes! For over eight years now, Bomb Party has worked with business partners and fabricators in China to manufacture our unique pieces. These production partners have developed durable plating capabilities, hand-painting enamel techniques, and other design aspects that you’ve come to know and trust from BP jewelry.
Why doesn’t BP use American-based vendors?
Overseas manufacturing is incredibly common to many US-based businesses. Bomb Party has sought out trusted partners who use quality-tested components, and whose work meets our production standards.
These internationally based partners can create high-quality jewelry pieces at prices that are accessible to everyone. We found a fabrication solution that allows us to reduce production costs without reducing volume, output or quality. We pass many of those savings on to our Independent Party Reps and their customers.
Are Bomb Party items affected by customs regulations?
Yes. Customs regulations are set in place to ensure the shipments and goods satisfy regulations, and the process can sometimes get complicated, causing items to be held up. We do our best to order stock with plenty of time to allow for manufacturing, packaging, shipping, customs, etc., though sometimes we still have to adjust. For example (unrelated to Lillian’s trip), you may start seeing “Made in China” stickers on the packaging for various items.
Where are BP’s famous ring bombs made?
Alabama, USA! The rings are designed in the USA, manufactured abroad, and then shipped to Alabama. From there, the rings are used in the hand-made fizzy bombs assembled by Bomb Party Home Office employees called Makers. That fizzy goodness is hand-packed with a surprise-and-delight treasure inside just for you!
