Use slack statuses wisely:

Default statuses

Focus Zone

In a meeting

Vacationing

Out sick

Working Remotely

When in the focus zone - you can switch off notifications

Online with no status means you're available to receive notifications.

Reactions (Reacji) are for fun and also important for:

Use reactions on slack to indicate that you've read the message and how you feel about it.

Always reply in threads - keeps conversations about topics contained and reduces clutter on channels.
