For very low-income veterans, SSVF provides case management and supportive services to prevent the imminent loss of a veteran's home or identify a new, more suitable housing situation for the individual and his or her family; or to rapidly re-house veterans and their families who are homeless and might remain homeless without this assistance.
The Thurston County Veterans Assistance Program helps eligible veterans or family members with one-time, emergent financial assistance for basic living expenses such as rent/housing, utilities and funeral expenses.
We are proud to provide assistance to all veterans, active military, National Guard, Reserves, and their families in Thurston County. We are a one-stop shop for the needs of veterans and their families. It’s our community's way of thanking you for your service and sacrifice.”
Appointment only rides from medical facilities back to home address.
“Transportation appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance to ensure there is a seat reserved for you on the DAV/VTS vans along major road networks where existing vans are available. All other routes require a minimum of 1 week to schedule.”
